2021 Pennsylvania Straw Poll

June 12, 2021 - (Harrisburg, PA) - Conservatives that attended the Pennsylvania Conference Conference from June 11 to June 12, 20201 participated in the tenth annual Pennsylvania Straw Poll.  After hosting the 2020 conference virtually and not conducting the straw poll, the 2021 Straw Poll included thirty-four of the sixty-seven counties across the Commonwealth.  Outside of Pennsylvania, attendees from Michigan, Louisiana, Florida, Wisconsin, Texas, Virginia, Illinois, New Jersey, and Oklahoma took part of the straw poll.

Attendees from Pennsylvania say 42% that Pennsylvania legislators are heading off track, which is an improvement from the 48% in 2019.  The three most important issues facing the General Assembly are Election Integrity, Budget, and Marcellus Shale Drilling with Property Tax Reform, Pension Reform Gun Laws, Marijuana, and privatizing of alcohol sales received multiple votes.  

84% of the attendees would support the automatic audit of every election regardless of the results and 98% of the attendees believe that social media sites and big tech is biased against conservatives.  Most interesting was more attendees stated they are using social media less than they were before the 2020 election.

Looking ahead to the 2022 election, Doug Mastriano took 32% of the votes of support for the PA Governor Primary race, with Lou Barletta and Dan Meuser taking 19% and 12% respectively.

Sean Parnell took 38% of the votes for the PA Senate Primary Race, with Jeff Bartos and Kathy Barnett rounding out the top 3, with 29% and 16% respectively.
